Welcome to the Monash Department of Marketing "23 Things" program. It's great to have you involved in this exciting learning initiative. Together we'll be learning more about emerging technologies on the web that are changing the way that people, society, and in particular, students and teachers are accessing information and communicating with each other.
Over the next nine weeks we will provide instructions here in this blog to help you complete the 23 short exercises, so that you become familiar with blogging, RSS news feeds, tagging, wikis, podcasting, and many other online applications.
If at any time you have any questions or suggestions, then simply contribute right here, in the "Comments" section of any of the blog postings. Together we'll be able to help each other on this journey of discovery!

ReplyDeleteAlso looking forward to the journey. On-line blog searching tools (such as Nielsen's Blogpulse) are becoming biggest business in the marketing research industry. So it will be good for me to explore these technologies further.
Peter - watched your 'video' -do we still use that term in the WEb 2/0/era? - a 'star' is born!! Like Sandra need to know which profile to chose and what is my URL??

ReplyDeleteOne of the principles of this program is that you will "learn by doing". If you're not sure how to do something, then just give it a go... you can't break anything, and you'll very quickly work it out.
Has everyone been able to work out what the various online profiles all mean when you reply to a blog posting? Have you set up your online profile? How do you do it? Why should you do it?
See if you can work out the answers to all of those questions. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteVideoing a welcome message is a really good idea Jan. It would be great to include in your MUSO sites at the beginning of Semester, especially the online units!
